FRIDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER 2014
WILLEM II 2 – 1 NAC BREDA
Willem II clinched a late 2-1 win over NAC Breda on Friday night through a 91st minutes Robert Braber winner writes Will Burns.
Former Chelsea youth striker Ben Sahar put the hosts ahead after beating the offside trap collecting Stijn Wuytens through ball to nutmeg NAC keeper Jelle ten Rouwelaar early on.
After claiming victories in their last two games, NAC grabbed an equaliser three minutes before the interval when Uros Matic hit a low drive past Kostas Lamprou from 25 yards.
The hosts pressed for a winner but it looked likely that they would have to settle for a point however, Robert Braber provided the late drama to lift Jurgen Streppel’s men into the top half of the division. Braber, a summer signing from relegated RKC Waalwijk, finished well after great hold up play from substitute Bruno Andrade.
